Family punk

A workshop open to all sorts of families. Learn to start a band using instructions from wikihow.com. No experience necessary – the less, the better! Bring your anger, love, worries and hopes! In Icelandic but English interpretation available on request. Sign up at skraning@artfest.is. Age: 6+

Gígja Jónsdóttir is a choreographer and visual artist. She works across disciplines and approaches her subjects through various media, such as happenings, video works, performance art and music. She has created a large number of dance and stage works, participated in many visual arts projects and collaborated with different artists. She is also a member of techno violin duo GEIGEN. Gígja’s 2017 participatory production, WikiHow to Start a Punk Band, has now evolved into a punk workshop that she has hosted for teenagers, young dancers, senior citizens and now families.
