Due to the state of the pandemic in Iceland as well as abroad, the decision has been made to cancel Wagner's Die Walküre, a joint production by the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and Icelandic Opera in collaboration with Reykjavik Arts Festival, which was scheduled take place in Harpa Concert Hall on 24th and 26th February 2022. The status of the pandemic both in Iceland and worldwide makes it impossible to go ahead with the staging of the opera, as this is an extensive production with the participation of a large number of artists from all over the world.

All tickets will be refunded in full, and this will happen automatically if they were paid for by card. In other cases, or if any questions arise with regard to the tickets reimbursement, feel free to contact Harpa's ticket office at midasala@harpa.is.

Originally, the production of Die Walküre was scheduled for Reykjavik Arts Festival in late Spring of 2020, and has been postponed twice because of COVID. We still hope this ambitious project can be realised within the next few years. This will be announced in due course.
